In observance of childhood cancer awareness month in September, the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Driscoll Children's Hospital is encouraging members of the community to grow their hair for donations to wigs for young cancer patients. September 14th hair stylists from the are will be cutting hair from 5:30-7:30 pm at Driscoll Children's Hospital Auditorium, 3533 S. Alameda. Hair must be 8 inches long from the pony tail to be used. Chemically treated hair will be accepted as long as it is healthy. Enjoy refreshments, door prizes and donate to the Coastal Bend Blood Center on site Blood Mobile.
